Product Description
Typhoon Junior Rookie Surface Drysuit
Key Features:
- Breathable fabric throughout for comfort during activity
- Flex closure PU dry zip on the back for easy entry and exit
- Neoprene neck and cuff seals for a snug, watertight fit
- Latex dip socks to keep feet dry
- Elasticated back waist for a secure, adjustable fit
- Internal braces for added support and comfort during wear
Additional Information:
Drysuits are generally bought for long-term use, but over time, wear and tear primarily affect neoprene and latex components. Damage to these parts can render the suit unusable at sea, requiring either repairs or the purchase of a new suit. If repair is chosen, correct materials and workmanship are essential.
Care and Maintenance:
- After using the suit in the sea, rinse it with cold freshwater to remove salt, as salt can significantly degrade neoprene and latex parts over time.
- Hang the suit to dry naturally, ensuring both the inside and outside are well ventilated. Avoid direct heat sources such as hairdryers, radiators, or sunlight, as they can damage the material.
- Once dry, powder the latex components (neck seals, wrist cuffs, socks) to maintain flexibility and prevent cracking.
- For storage, particularly during the summer months, hang the suit in a well-ventilated area on a wide hanger that won’t stretch or damage the neck seal. Leave the front zip open to prevent strain.
- When storing for long periods, powder the latex components generously and place wax paper between areas where latex touches to prevent sticking, then store in a clear plastic bag for protection.
